# Current Focus Last updated: 2026-05-14 08:18 America/New_York ## Purpose This file defines the current active focus so Jason and Codex do not scatter across too many ideas at once. ## Master Projects ### Master Project #1: Master Chat Archive Purpose: Keep Codex continuity across new chats by maintaining a master TOC of all local Codex threads and readable Markdown transcripts. Core files: ```text master_chat_archive.md projects/master_chat_archive/overview.md chat_transcripts/ ``` Why this is first: It supports every future build. When context gets scattered across chats, this archive becomes the map back to the work. Current status: Active and automated. A Windows scheduled task refreshes it every 5 minutes. ## Current Active Product Projects Pastebin-style code/reference tool: ```text https://scriptjerk.online/ ``` Shared Brain explainer: ```text https://scriptjerk.org/ ``` 1. Identity-safe video/content workflow 2. Game of Life / Life Lab 3. ScriptJerk Store storefront 4. Shared Brain explainer / builder-motivation site ## Project #1: Identity-Safe YouTube Video Workflow Current situation: Concept: The video shows Jason's background as someone who coded and built websites years ago, stopped touching that world around 2015, and is now returning in 2026 using modern tools like VS Code, Codex, AI assistance, and VPS deployment. Core angle: A coder/web builder comeback story: old skills meeting new AI tools. - Jason recorded his first YouTube-oriented video in a while and feels embarrassed about it. - Current video file: `C:\Users\trade\Videos\2026-05-06 19-07-20.mp4` - The audio was bad enough that he did not proceed yesterday. - Jason downloaded DaVinci Resolve for video editing. - Jason wants identity hidden for now, especially face hidden. Why this is #1 right now: This is the most emotionally blocked project and therefore the one with the highest practical leverage. Getting through the first imperfect video can unlock content momentum, confidence, and a marketing path for future projects. Candidate next moves: - locate the video file - inspect audio quality - decide whether to clean audio, re-record voiceover, use captions, or scrap and remake - define an identity-safe visual style - avoid face, reflections, documents, accounts, location clues, and house details - create one short private test export before thinking about public release ## Project #2: Game of Life / Life Lab Public Game of Life v1 deployment: ```text https://scriptjerk.fun/ ``` Test Life Lab v2 deployment: ```text https://test.scriptjerk.com/ ``` Project notes: ```text projects/software_of_life/overview.md projects/software_of_life/deployment.md ``` Why it remains active: Game of Life / Life Lab connects strongly to Jason's coding motivation: simple rules producing complex systems, logic gates, computation, and the idea of systems that can emulate systems. The weak Software of Life move-scorer was replaced on test with a more promising Conway/Life Lab direction. Candidate next moves: - finish and verify the amplified Life Lab v2 on `test.scriptjerk.com` - include demos for common Life object families: still lifes, oscillators, spaceships, methuselahs, guns, and growth/chaotic patterns - later promote the cleanest version to `scriptjerk.fun` ## Project #3: ScriptJerk Storefront Target: ```text https://scriptjerk.store/ ``` Direction: Jason wants `scriptjerk.store` to become a basic storefront with frontend and backend, using an Amazon-inspired but not copied look. Data storage is undecided: MySQL later or file-based first. Candidate next moves: - build a basic product/catalog model - choose temporary file-based storage or stub backend - create a storefront CSS/theme inspired by common ecommerce conventions - keep it simple enough to deploy and revise ## Project #4: Shared Brain / Builder Motivation Site Target: ```text https://scriptjerk.org/ ``` Direction: Jason is leaving the exact idea to Codex for now. Likely direction: showcase the Shared Brain/contextual memory concept and speak to future coders, hack-together builders, and people returning to skills with AI leverage. ## Focus Rule Before starting a new major project, ask whether the identity-safe YouTube video workflow needs one more concrete shipping step first. ## Current Constraint From 2026-05-08 through 2026-06-08, do not create new Partner Brain Markdown files unless critical. Use the existing Brain system while getting projects rolling, with the identity-safe YouTube video workflow as Project #1 and Game of Life / Life Lab as Project #2. ## Schedule Context For Planning Jason works a 12-hour 2-2-3 schedule, about 15 work days per month. Heavy Codex build sessions should be expected mainly on off-work days, with lighter questions possible on work days. As of 2026-05-08: - Jason worked the previous night but got VTO. - Jason expects to work tonight. - Jason expects Saturday, Sunday, and Monday off. - The following Saturday, Sunday, and Monday are work days in the alternating 2-2-3 pattern. Use this context when suggesting next moves. On work nights, prefer small planning, review, or low-friction tasks. On off stretches, prioritize one concrete build/deploy objective.
